Journeying: Inside Outside – France

The workshops for meditation were really accessible and non threatening. I had never done anything quite like this and I think Emma was sensitive to our group needs. I think some of us surprised ourselves! The group was a good size and we were respectful of everyones need to be heard.

It was a really interesting session on different types of belief systems through the ages – I feel much more knowledgeable now.

The walking in the mountains was fabulous. It was so beautiful. Autumn was creeping in but the warmth of the sun, made the trek very comfortable. We could sit without consideration! We were encouraged to see and listen to all around us and notice symbols, animals smells and sounds.

Emma is a wonderful guide and teacher. I felt very comfortable being around her – she glows!

it felt like such a luxury to spend time away from home life and ‘selfishly’ just think about ‘me’. I felt with Emma’s help I was getting in contact with me again. We have to work on such a functional and practical level most of the time , it was such a relief to just slow down and look inwards.

I have already tried to use some of the technics I was shown during the workshops. Like everything , it will come down to practise but I now have some tools and experience to draw from. Well worth spending some time with Emma. Measured and sensitive. Ohh and did I mention she laughs a lot too.

Journeying: Inside Outside – France

I recently attended a two day journeying inside and outside work shop with Emma in the French Pyrenees. As a debutante in meditation I was nervous about losing control of my emotions, but exactly the opposite occurred due to Emma’s excellent and powerful guidance. The meditations were calming and took me deeper into myself than I imagined possible. I discovered peacefulness and felt refreshed and much more in tune with my inner voice at the end of the 2 days. The inside day was held at chez Hawkins , a fabulous Gite complex in the heart of the Ariege in the French Pyrenees. The mountains in which we wandered on our outside day were beautiful with amazing views and an abundance of opportunities to put into practise our newly learnt meditation abilities . Emma was thoughtful throughout giving many opportunities for open feedback. She guided us all with visualisations , music and her own skilful councilling to make the most of the 2 day workshop in this amazing and stunning back water of France.
I thoroughly recommend this work shop to any one who is curious and wants to learn to meditate and has a love for nature but has maybe been afraid to take the first step.

Journeying: Inside Outside – Wales

I’ve just returned from spending the weekend on Emma’s Inside/Outside Workshop and would highly recommend it to anyone. Emma holds the space in a deeply nurturing and supportive way, and her knowledge and intuition helped guide me towards a greater understanding.
We were blessed with gorgeous weather and took a wonderful hike up Cnicht, stopping to meditate along the way.
I learnt a lot from the weekend and came away feeling empowered and uplifted.

Walk and Talk Day

I’ve done a lot of hill walking before, but never particularly taken time to stand and stare, and certainly never before meditated anywhere let alone in the hills. It was a new and enlightening experience, for which I have to thank Emma for her gentle and intelligent guidance. Thank you Emma!

Walk and Talk Day

What can I tell you about my walk and talk day with Emma, well, I felt drawn to her one –to-one as some “me” space, both the physical sense of doing outside my normal realm, and also the opportunity to explore meditation, awareness and balance I could take away into my daily life. I was open to the experience without an initial defined need, quite the opposite to my work life. Emma is extremely intuitive, and her selection of route, both physically and spiritually flowed with ease, allowing me space to explore at my own pace. I actually found, quite unconsciously initially, that setting the date for the day started me exploring and opening to things I had closed, and became an unfolding part of a very grounding and connecting journey, a real blessing. I would highly recommend it to anyone, and being guided by Emma in such naturally beautiful surroundings was a real spiritual gift. I will be back soon for sure!

Walk and Talk Day

A wonderful experience; inspiring scenery, great company, plus the physical exertion and exhilaration involved in walking and scrambling up a mountain… yet the day was much more than this and the spiritual aspects I was expecting, due to the thought and care Emma had taken over what I personally might want, and need, to take from the experience. It was all rather magical really!

Group Mountain Day

My guided mountain walk was one of the most amazing & challenging experiences of my life. Myself & 2 friends did a guided scramble with Emma in early June 2011, up Siabod in the Snowdonia national Park. I have a great fear of heights & exposure on mountains, at points on the climb to the summit I really felt like I couldn’t & wasn’t going o be able to make it to the top but with Emma’s help & guidance, which I found to be calm, understanding, focused & incredibly expert. We got to the summit in what was some rather unseasonal weather! Once I had reached the summit & conquered my fears I realised that I had been given a truly unique & special experience by our mountain guide – Emma. One that myself & my 2 friends shall never forget! Thank-you.

Group Mountain Day

On the whole I found the day very relaxed and enjoyable. I felt energised at times and I would say the whole thing exceeded my expectations – it was such a stunning day. I liked doing the meditations and having ‘me’ on the mountain within the security and company of a group. I liked the group – this size felt about right and it was nice to meet some new and interesting people. Snowdon actually felt quite effortless, the pace meant there was time to take things in, even if it did get a little slow towards the end.

Emma’s insight and understanding was most useful. This was a wonderful day in the mountains. I enjoyed, learned and felt differently at the end.

Group Mountain Day

We had a fine day of incredible scenery and wonderful companionship, and were encouraged to think about the experience as we lived it in imaginative ways that does not often occur to me when I’m out on my own.
