These are some observations I have made on the sacred space I have been using for the work of the South – changing patterns.
In the south I have hazel. Short trees with wounds appropriate for the place of my inner child. There are entwined branches reminiscent of snake. I feel the protection of this energy of truth.
In the south east there is rock protecting my back and linking what is of snake with higher truths of eagle forming powerful protections.
In the east is oak and silver birch. Important trees from my childhood. The oak reaches over my space with its branches looking down on my work from a height, suitable for the place of eagle. The silver birch stands back a little and upright.
To the north there is oak also, at a distance yet holding the space. Reminds me of the journey of hummingbird and the distance I can travel. Oak of the ancestors, the old tree, the tree I want for my passing, decided when I was a young child.
To the west there is hawthorn, food and connection with my father. The tree of abundance and of the rune of cattle, status and standing. My work is of Jaguar energy and my power animal panther, so appropriate. Also here is mountain and river, the strength and the flow. Mountain reflecting the rock behind me. Siabod speaking before to me as the mountain of community. I see out into the work I am here to do.
